i know whats happening but trying to explain it might be difficult but here goes when you hit the knee pad with your right knee keep your knee against the pad and use your right foot to give you leverage the carpet will be stretched and your holding the stretch . the gripper nails should also have a hold of the carpet, then with your bolster tuck the carpet behing the gripper, remember your stretcher should still be in the same position as from when you hit the knee pad. move along 6 inches and before you stretch it use the flat side of your bolster and run it along the top of the carpet you have just tucked this will make sure the gripper nails have a proper hold of the carpet, and then repeat. just incase check your gripper and make sure your gripper nails are pointing up and not flattened.
