shoperholicnot wrote:does anyone know when the Botanics face mask BOGOF ended? I want to take one back for a refund
I tried to take back a Time Delay line smoother about a month after the last £5 off promotion ended and the SA said she would exchange for £2.50 worht of goods. I told her I paid £7.50 for it, she refused to budge saying I could have bought during the promotion. What a b***h, I felt like asking her if the money was coming out of her wages!!
Has anyone else refunded an item and been asked for their AC so the points be taken off or am I the unluckiest MSE user ever?:mad:Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

I have, only once tho and i dont believe i should have been. I bought a little crayon box which was reduced from £1.49 to 99p (i think thats the prices, if not very simliar) but i was charged the higher price, so when i went back to Boots (was a diff store tho) and quieried it, had the ittem with me they refunded it then recharged it, gave me my refund and took back my points.
It was their mistake in the first place so i dont think she should have done that, if it was my mistake i would have been ok about it.Bringing up 2 handsome boys and 1 gorgeous girl the MSE way!Joseph born 19th December 2001Matthew born 8th August 2007Tara born 23rd January 20110 -

I have been asked for my advantage card to take off points, on occasions when i have been overcharged, whilst still instore, think they are cracking down on this one.0 -
I suppose you could always carry 2 cards - one to collect on and the other for refunds etc.
(There's also another way round this one but it takes a bit of thought... won't post for fear of spoiling it for those who have figured it out)0 -

I believe that is correct. It even states this in the application forms for the health club. As my mother read it out to me.
And not trying to be picky but why should you keep points when you have returned the goods and had a refund. As in effect you have un bought the goods. In the end it depends on the SA serving you.
I have heard that Tescos will do this as well with the club card.

Thats shocking!! I try and pick the dopiest looking SA i can
I took back the Botanics face mask SA had to ask manager if I could exchange without a receipt because she didn't know! :spam: he of course said yes so I happily exchanged it for something I actually want. :j
I also signed up for their prescription collection service asked for my 250 free points, SA stuffed it up and put 500 on my AC instead. Very happy bunny :j
also got 2 packs of paracetamols at 39p each and 2 free cooling head packs :j

I'm not sure when it ends, but in the stores i have visited you only get triple points when you spend £10 or more. I'm not sure if this new, but i've not seen this before HTH0 -
I bought Galpharm paracetamol caplets...[16 in a blue box] for 16p and got the cooling thingys free. I also bought a TD exfoliator for £4.50 and a Danielle Ryman body mask reduced to £2.50 and used my skincare voucher. It gave me the exfoliator free and took 50p off the DR mask. Naked 100 point voucher in AC machine works on the £1.29 face masks.0
