How far would you travel to do a driveway??

Hi, a quick question.....
I would like my driveway redoing, possibly 'cobblecrete', tarmaccing or blocks- not decided yet, but my question is, how far would people be prepared to travel to do the job?
If it helps, coz different parts of the country may have different answers due to ruralness(?), I'm in South Leics, and the driveway is basically two cars width, slightly more, as theres currently a pathup the drive which is a slab wide and about 1.5 cars in length. Oh and its currently covered with shingle- and as a result weeds!
I've found some places that are 20-30 miles away, and don't know if thats too far? As i'm not sure this is a particularly big job.

(Any advice re cost of this cobblecrete to tarmac to blocks by the way would be appreciated, before I get my fingers burnt)

I would say 30 miles is about the limit without the prices going up to pay for traveling time/costs.

I did a few months work about 50 miles away, but they were long hard days and the price reflected that.

As for driveway advice - I'm afraid I can't really help!

You can't pass up work just because its 30 miles away!

I've drove over 75 miles each way to work in the past, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I've put this on Mybuilder.com, and the closest interested party is about 75 miles away!!??? Also put it on RatedPeople.com and got sweet FA back from that! Are these sites a waste of effort, and simply a place for cowboys to ply their trade???
