my malawarebytes and avg both detected the above. i deleted it in malaware, then avg flashed up with it again later

ive run malaware again and its clear. unable to post logs - wont let me open them. Have i got another nasty? i had one last week in IE which alienrik sorted for me.

now running firefox, with avg, windows firewall and no script.

Each browser has its own independant area where cookies get stored so there could well be a cookie for FireFox and one for IE.

Tracking cookies really are the bottom rung of the threat level. I wouldn't even bother deleting them because unless you are blocking ads you'll keep on picking them up from perfectly legitimate websites.

thanks, guess i'm just paranoid after last week!! the dratted thing deleted my address book, emailed everyone, and caused havoc!!!

Spybot will post most dodgy cookies at bay

Download SPYBOT (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ make sure TEA TIMER is UNTICKED on installation)

UPDATE and IMMUNISE (Make sure it reads ZERO unprotected) and SCAN
