My sister's friend, she had a habit of touching things 3 times, I can still remember this well, but it had to be 3 times before she was satisfied.

That's the thing, my other mates son even though he has Aspergers he is different to Daniel, with Daniel he used to hide in school toilets at assembly times, anywhere where there are crowds he gets very anxious and also sick as well.
Yet my friends mate, he did not mind it so much, but refuse to take part in games, although Daniel used to refuse as well.

I still remember when the school rang me to tell me they could not find him, and I had to get the police involved, all along he was in the toilets, I told them this as well.
Oh I know how my cousin was with her lad. He has help at school (we have something called "inclusion" for cases like this) and if an "ill" child wants to go there to work they can. My daughter is actually named carer for her friend who has a brain problem (she spent 9 months in hospital with a brain infection). She suffers with fits and my daughter had to do a day of training to be able to tell when she may be coming down with one. I was very proud of her and if her friend starts to feel ill then my daughter and her have to go to inclusion and work quietly and of course they would then get medical help if they needed to.

Its just sad that your son was not diagnosed until very late with it. My cousins son was diagnosed in juniors very early as he showed signs of it very early. She has 7 kids:eek: (and we have all said that she will not stop at 7 as its an odd number BUT she has gone onto dogs now:cool:) . He is the only one affected though. When I write her christmas card I actually get cramp:eek:.

Wow credit to your cousin and your daughter Marshallka.....:T:T, its not easy either.

Daniel was actually seen by someone when he was 4 but she said "don't worry he is just immature" and closed the files........
It was some years later that we heard the NHS got rid of her, and in replacement was a lovely and understanding one, she made time for him all the time, she then moved him on for the diagnosis, who even said themselves he should have been diagnosed years ago.

When we moved the school was CRAP, and did not want to know, then I suddenly snapped with help from a mate, where they brought someone into the school to get the ball rolling.

That's amazing! You must be very proud of her! :D Really puts things into perspective when you see the scum of the world on the Jeremy Vile show.

I think I do have some sort of disorder..........I have to go back and double check things a few times, think this is what it is......:o, when I go out I'm worrying about things like "did I turn the iron off, did I lock the back door, and have had to go back sometimes".......:o.
    Isn't this like OCD?
I suppose if you want to call it that you can. There are extreme cases whereby (like the guy at our place) it actually affected his life to a degree. I also think that some would play on something like that and make it a disability. You have to admit where benefits/crimes are concerned then there are lots that like to play on things due to their disability/illness. Don't get me wrong Di and i not without compassion at all but some just play the system and it does !!!! me off. I go on the discussion board though when I want to vent as on there there are far worse than me. I love a debate TBH. Its like a breathe of fresh air. Here is not the place really.
