Been to see my parents, poor dad confused today..... watching your family suffer with dementia it hits hard, he was diagnosed officially in his late 50's, never mind the other list long of other med prbs he has as well, he got confused with the sink and toilet today, but other than that he seems to be doing fine, we are there to help all we can when we can, and he may be starting a day centre shortly, this will also give mum a break, as again she has a number of health problems as well, but plodding on despite that.

Will be taking dad fishing soon, he's an ex miner, and between working on farms he worked so hard in the coal pits, I'm sure he will enjoy his day out.

Anyways, enough of me with my problems, how is everyone doing today ?:A

Yes we did have a good time, my dad was beaming when we turned up, we sat in the garden with him, he was truly enjoying this weather in his precious garden which is his pride and joy, he spent many years looking after it.;)
Hope you've had a great day as well.:AX

Hi all - cracking day here in Edinburgh too! May take a walk along the beach shortly and catch a bit of the good rays. That said, the football is about to come on Setanta so will be postponing the wee jaunt when the 90 mns are over!

Not been on much lately - been back at the gym and going some to lose my lardy butt by mid-June. Done quite well this week and have lost about 4 pounds which sounds a lot but it's my first week of watching my food and going to the gym so I've just lost the bloated feeling as much as anything.

Putting all the info on a nice wee programme I've got for my ipod which tells me what my daily calorie consumption is and my exercise and everything. I've been so bloody miserable over the past few years over money and jobs and things that I'm determined that now I'm in a job I like, that pays well and is close to home (after the last one where I had a 35 hour weekly commute  ) that I can relax and sort out my fitness too. Living day-to-day is not conducive to god health, so I plan on getting back to the straight and narrow over the coming months and being good food and exercise wise. Who knows - maybe I'll feel good enough to do another marathon!

Really glad things are looking up for you BGB, could you clarify the phrase "ANOTHER marathon"?:D
Much respect from me to you, the best I can do is walk the kids to school pushing a pushchair:rotfl:

In the home where I worked they stuck stickers on the toilet, sink, wardrobe, draws etc with the name clearly marked for some residents and it helped no end.
