A lucky guess :p, what made them jump like that

Did they issue more shares , seems they could still be bought if you had the confidence in them

ftse has outperformed the sp500 over the last month, they have lost as much in the dollar as any gains in the price - they are on a hamster wheel
We've had a slight rise in currency this last month and shares have risen greatly also from expectations uk will leave recession soon I think

Cairn rose over 12% since last week, oil price rising I think? and they were apparently a better immediate prospect then I had figured.

Rex surpassed resistance rose a bit and hit the next bump, fell back but I figure they may be better prospect to hold overall if I reduce another larger holding and stay more widely exposed that way.
So now I'm cash neutral from last week to this
  • Just been looking at Jarvis

12:50 UPDATE 1-Jarvis shares jump on bid approach news
    AFX UK Focus
LONDON, Sept 10 (Reuters) - British rail network services company Jarvis on Thursday said it had received a tentative approach from a potential buyer, lifting its shares by as much as 50 percent.
"The Board wishes to emphasise that although a tentative inquiry has been made about a possible offer, the inquiry is extremely preliminary in nature," Jarvis said in a statement.
Jarvis shares were up 26 percent at 23.5 pence by 1103 GMT, having earlier risen as high as 27.25 pence.
In July, Jarvis replaced its chief executive as it said one-off restructuring and redundancy costs had pushed it to an annual loss of 6.3 million pounds ($10.43 million), compared with a 4.5 million pound profit a year earlier.

they lost all their value after a train crash which they were held responsible..never could stand back on their feet after that..but still were able to manage and retain their key staff..they are quite a reputable name in the train industry and one of the preferred vendors for rail track maintenance..

up for getting some Network rail contracts plus a 500 million dollar chiltern rail contract..

their chairman Mr Steve Norris is a former conservative transport minister and quite a nice guy..

jump happened after they recently replaced their top man

    google..

Uptrend resumed as expected, looks like we are now in what to date I have expected to be the final push to the endpoint of this move, although we are still 4 points shy of my 1048 target, which of course needs to be breached before we can see the 1100-1120 area, then a review would be called for, to determine whether or not Mr Bear is coming back.
I have it on good authority he has been enjoying his downtime away from the markets, and does not seem to have any immediate plans to return, as this footage shows secretly filmed at an undisclosed location
