    I'm just not sure what feedback to leave.

    1) seller knew when I needed the item by, and agreed to send it quickly - waiting until Wednesday meant it was pretty unlikely to arrive in time, especially if they didn't pay for guaranteed next day delivery;
    2) plain brown paper for a TV? I didn't necessarily expect the original box, but any box would surely have been safer?

    I don't want to delay leaving feedback as obviously she hasn't had her money yet, but I am really not sure what to say? Any suggestions please? :confused:

    You can't give negative or neutral feedback if she didn't send you an item promptly, when you haven't actually paid for it. I've never sent an item until I've recieved payment. she was remarkably stupid to do so - people aren't all as honest as you.

    neither can you expect her to send it by guaranteed next day delivery unless that was a postage method you selected.

    Your point about the packaging method is fair enough.

    OP states that PP are holding payment pending feedback, not that he hasn't paid her.

    I'd drop the seller an email stating that you were not totally happy with the service and especially the packaging. Word it in a friendly way so they know it's advice for future rather than a complaint now.

    I bought a PDA off ebay a few weeks back off a new ebayer. Item had a slightly damaged usb cable, was poorly packaged and sent untracked. I got a bargain, in good condition (had a spare cable anyway) and postage charged was what was on the stamp.

    I left a positive with maximum stars, but e-mailed him to be a bit more careful in future. I was happy with the item, but someone else could very easliy have got a chargeback for fault or claiming non-receipt.

    Unfortunately ebay and paypal are awful for seller protection, and a unscrupulous buyer could have a field day. Put yourself in the sellers shoes, and let a few things go with private sellers.

    I think the majority of ebayers appreciate feedback as advised on here. I ordered something to take into hospital with me next month and when it arrived it smelt strongly of cigarette smoke,even after being aired and febreezed (it wan't washable) I emailed her in a friendly way asking if she was aware that some items may have been contaminated in this way and she emailed back really quickly-apologising profusely and stating she was trying to give up but kept her goods for ebay in a seperate room-she had no idea that some things were still becoming smelly! She was lovely and despite my protests refunded all the money immediately. She never mentioned feedback,but I went on there and said I had had a minor problem but she had responded immediately and over and above what I had expected.
    I think the packaging in this instance is unaccceptable and the seller could easily have been facing a claim as the carriage company can't be held responsible for damaged goods when they are not given proper protection.
    Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

    But they had to stay at home all day, and if they were in a say, £60/day job, then I can totally see why they would take an extra £10 but if they do stay at home all day, I would find it dishonest charging that much. It's up to the OP whether they want to ask the seller for money back but personally, I would just leave it. The OP got what she wanted, despite a bad service.

    they dont have to have stayed in all day because they had something collected via a courier, when ever i send large or heavy items i use parcel 2 go and get them to collect from my work!

    If your not happy with the service you received etc then its for you to decide what feedback you use not everyone esle on this forum who will have different opinions.

    Maybe dont leave any feedback if you dont want to leave negative and are not happy leaving positive or leave a neutural but let the seller know your going to do it, tell them your not happy with the packing etc :o)
