How do i get Tom Tom 500 on my PDA

Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong board.
I have a PDA which i want to use as a sat nav. Ive had a look on ebay but actually have no idea about what i need to buy to upload it
can anyone direct me to the type of thing i need to buy to load the data. Is it a CD or sd card.

Tom Tom can come on a cd or data card.
I assume you mean TomTom 5.xxx which is the PDA version.
I installed mine via the CD through Activesync on the PC to the PDA. As long as you can link you PDA to the PC it should be fairly straight forward for you.0 -
Everything you need will be on the CD the only extra you will need is a GPS receiver which can be:
Wired
Bluetooth
Fitted into SD slot
Fitted into CF slot
The choice of GPS receiver from the above list will depend on what the spec of your PDA is, I a have Bluetooth which is excellent but if your unit does not support this you will need to think about one of the other options.
You also need to consider which maps you need before you buy, ie do you need Europe maps etc.
You might have more luck in the tec forum, I expect it will get moved there.

Sorry to sound dense but what cd do i need. The only one's i can see are about £2 and they surely cant be the one's i need. they all refer to add-ons?0

They are illegal software! You need to spend about £80 for a legal software only -

then add a bluetooth or wired gps for about £40
I have nowt to do with discount sat nav!0
