Free Haircuts @ Tony and Guy Academy - Vouchers??

Hello,

The Tony & Guy Academy in Central London offer haircuts for £5 or for free with a voucher. I used to see the vouchers in free newspapers around London, but haven't seen any for awhile. Anyone know where I can find one?

Many thanks!

I heard this- apparently they sometimes have offers- but not always, when they do they are in various freebie mags- you know the type that you try to run from when you see a back-pack-wearing student trying to force you to take one/three? like Ms London and TNS.

That's right! I couldn't remember the name of the publication - Ms London - and also something like Careers London...

I haven't seen these being passed out in London for ages, is there a specific day/time?

never had any luck findind an ad. The only ones I saw were in Metro for Vidal Sassoon and I hear they are a lot more creative than T&G. But not on my hair!!

do try gumtree. If a student needs people for an assessement or even just to practice, he/she will recruit you and it is free if you are his/ her guest. However, they sometimes impose a few restrictions becuase they need to be assessed on a particular haircut or need to practice. If you are not confortable with that just pay the £5 and you get to choose.

I have been to the Sassoon Academy twice, and know someone that used to model for them professionally, and would recommend it over T&G every time! They do have an advanced academy, but they also have a school for less advanced stylists. They will not do anything that you do not agree to!
    Gone ... or have I?

Sassoon (Grovsnor place near Bond Street) are a creative academy- the students there have been-there-done-that with "normal hairdressing" and do go a bit wild! they take a good few hours till the end piece which looks fab...till you try to recreate it yourself- still, goes down well at Art college I can vouch for that! (still have the half-shaved-head, half long hair photo they took of me at the academy show- they were that proud of their...creation!).
There is also a more ...sensible Sassoon at Whitley's who do model cut and colour, they are around £10 up wards as you pay for the water, shampoo, electricity and etc. You do need to book this one, its not like the academy where you can often pop in on the off chance.

Toni and Guy do model days everyday, you do not need a voucher, but a voucher will save you money, it is around £15 and at Tottenham Court Road salon, they do both cuts and colours but you need to book as they do book up.

Other places (salons) are also worth a visit- if you see a sign in a salon window or know a student who needs a model ask them, but know the teacher- they are there to make sure you don't end up bald and green!

If you go on Gumtree you often find ads from students from Toni & Guy (and other places) who want 'models'.

Ultra Cheap: I am going to have mine done by someone tomorrow. If you like I can ask him if he needs anymore models and, if so, pass on his mobile to you.

    Let me know.

I will PM you... Let's pray that he is good!!

There are a few ads for T&G on Gumtree. Thing is, you never know who you are going to get anyway.
