Claim 4 gain

I have just had a call from a randon number 01204384100 - i returned it and found out that it was a company called Claim 4 Gain. They promise that they have a legal document that you forward to the bank they send you your charges which you sign to say you are happy and then the money is in your account within 6 weeks, or you can request a cheque. All this sounds very easy and simply, almost too good to be true, oh, and any additional charges to that account will be capped at £4.50!!!! They have mentioned that they are registered with a government body Ministry of Justice and that their company reg number is CRM15803 - based in Bolton. They have requested £59 upfront for processing and admin charges. Obviously i do not want to give any money away - so my query is - has anyone heard of this company or even dealt with them, are they legit??

Look forward to hearing from anyone about this

Cheers

  • They request £59 up front and it cost you £10(SAR) plus the cost of a stamp. Any company claiming they can get the charges back in 6 weeks is lying. If anyone knows how they do it in 6 weeks then post on here cos that is utter crap.

  • Thanks for the advice - better to wait for the courts decision, already lodged claims or the hardship as i am facing redundancy after a cut back on wages.

Nothing stops you from going back to your bank under financial hardship if your circumstance change as any refund would be taken off any settlement of the court claim.

  • I had a call from this company the other day on my new contract phone. Told them to take a hike and to stop phoning me.
  • A friend of mine was using them and filling paperwork out. I also am suss about these types of companies, but basically he recieved a pack, he fills it out authirising the company to get hold of your list of charges from the bank and they claim it off the bank and return it you for their initial fee you already paid.

There is legislation in place within the law that says the banks charges are illegal and over the top, so you are entitled to get them back, but to do it on your own is time consuming and complicated, companies like this have cornered a legal market for fast tracking these claims and probably deal with hundreds of cases a day. Again I am very distrusting of companies that offer to help you get money. Keep an eye out for this thread and I will let you know how my mate fairs with them

Really? Can you provide us with details of this as this would be major news. It would also seem to render the current court case pointless.

Your friend really doesn't read the terms and conditions. They take a percentage of the amount reclaimed.
They have conned him with the line about legislation since that is complete and utter nonsense. Waste of money, waste of a post and utterly butterly nonsense.
