I have been waiting since Nov 2nd for a reply to a complaint which apparently will only take 48hrs. Just emailed tiscali and told them i will be transferring my account within the next month. Not that they will take any notice... again0

Tiscali are a joke, absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was querying why they'd charged me until the end of the month even though they had cancelled the contract mid-month. I talked to various people who all gave varying answers. I'd had enough so asked to speak to a manager. After being left on hold for about 20 minutes, the same person came back to me claiming there was only one manager in the building and that he was currently out of the office.
I asked if she could arrange for the manager to call me back, she said this wasn't possible as they didn't have a telephone line for outgoing calls in the building.
To say I was astounded is an understatement. I said that I wanted to make a 'subject access request' (Data Protection Act) so that I could have copies of all recorded calls and details of all personal information held. The advisor didn't have a clue what one was so she again put me on hold for ages.
She came back with a telephone number for CISAS. At the time I didn't have a clue who CISAS were but she assured me they dealt with all Data Protection queries on behalf of Tiscali. It turns out CISAS are the Communications & Internet Services Adjudication Scheme.
I sent a letter to Tiscali Head Office requesting compensation for the cost of calling the contact centres only to receive duff information, and a corrected invoice for the final month. Three days later I received a letter threatening to pass my account to a debt collection company unless I paid in full!
Quite honestly I wouldn't recommend Tiscali to my worst enemy. Needless to say I haven't paid and am keeping the telephone number for CISAS to hand just in case they don't reply to my letter.Quidco savings: £499.49 tracked, £494.35 paid.0 -

Im waiting to swap onto virgin. Finally got through to Tiscali, and they can't give me a MAC code as Im on the wrong exchange apparently, so I cancelled my subscription, spoke to Virgin and will go onto pay as you go dial up till the line is clear then will get their broadband. Their customer services are really friendly (even though had problems with the mobile department).0

My mum is having a nightmare with Tiscali at the moment - she finally managed to obtain the MAC code from them in September, changed provider, but Tiscali continue to send her letters demanding payment. I gave her the email address link from here & also the CEO's address, however in response to her complaint sent to them by email (and copied to CEO) all she has had in return is an email asking her to send the new provider's details & they will then refund her.... They have totally & utterly ignored any of the issues she has raised & now her emails to the address in this forum are coming straight back as "failed delivery".... Any suggestions what she can do next (other than spending a fortune ringing their customer incompetence line??? She is worried now about the demands for money as they are beginning to get more threatening. Thanks!0
