Just a silly little question here.

How do you manage to save 20p's £2's etc when you have no spend days more often than spend days!??!

I work on an industrial estate & so there is actually no shops to tempt me, I come straight home & don't usually bother going out again (unless I go down the coast for a walk), so I don't spend any money. Only time I do spend is of a weekend & thats usually food shopping which comes from a joint kitty, so no stealing change from there.

I want to save pennies this way but can't see how :mad:

I work in a Town Center - and a nice one at that - so I have too much opportunity to spend

I don't know if it is cheating but me and hubby have taken on the 20p's together . . . have you get a partner or similer to help you out :rolleyes:

Hi Tashja, welcome to the club.

I'm back up to £4 now, with £3 gained over the last couple of days. OH has kindly donated some and I got some in my change from shopping yesterday.

Ceri - If I'm not able to get to the shops, I sometimes ask if friends or family will swap coins with me to enable me to build up the savings.

My wages finally cleared yesterday (I hate months that end on Friday) and I managed to go and do some shopping so I have just put another 40p in my tin! Yay!

I swap my even smaller change for 20ps from my office kitty if I'm having a no spend day. I have about £11 saved up in coppers and 5ps in a 3ltr vodka bottle.

What am I going to do with it? Well if I can keep from raiding it next month, I'm going to get myself a standard lamp to put by my chair for when I'm sewing in the evenings....should have enough by the autumn!
