Average millage on S/H diesel car, van
I have been told when looking for second hand cars or vans (petrol) that average millage to look for is Years x 10,000mls. i.e a 5yr old car should have a millage of around 50,000. However I'm looking into purchasing a diesel car/van ( i have an offer on a van at the moment) would the same rules apply to a diesel. Thanks for any advice!
The van is 5ys with 70,000 on the clock
The van is 5ys with 70,000 on the clock

No such thing as average mileage. This annoys me when people come in ask for the mileage on a car and suck air thru their teeth and say "Oooooh it's a bit high..."
My answer is "well it depends where they live and where they work or they have a busy social life..."
the car I'm trotting about in at the minute has 19,000 miles on and it's a W reg!0 -
Harvey, clearly the car you are currently 'trotting about in' has below average mileage.

It was owned by a disabled person, so 19,000 could be classed as high for such a person lol.0
