Amex card application from US site instead of UK

Rather new to this lol but can i apply for a American Express card off the US site instead of the UK site? Reason I'm asking is that they have a card that the UK doesn't offer?

No, not unless you are a US Citizen with a SSN as they ask for this (same as our national insurance number) as it is linked to the US credit system. We should do this to stop people doing runners then trying to reapply later - but we don't.

So in answer to your question, no you cannot unless you are a US Citizen with a SSN.

also every transaction would be tranferred to dollars which logisitically, for you, would be a headache when using the card cos you'd have to take in account the exchange rate each time you use it. Finally, the US do not comply to the same laws as us such as CCA, FOS, DPA etc etc and that is why getting cards for a different country is always going to be hard to aliens (non nationals)
