 It's not "free". It's £17 per month!

If you're looking for travel insurance, you can get it for under £30 for a whole year.

Only if you meet the required criteria

    It's £25.00 for those who don't.

My LTSB Silver account costs £7.95. For that I get:

Mobile insurance (I had this with Vodafone cost me £6.95 a month)
AA cover (didn't have before so a bonus)
Card cover (Not bothered about this but oh well)
Travel insurance (Best quote I got was £40)

So, technically, I'm only paying a quid more than I was to Vodafone for the insurance alone, so the AA cover and Travel insurance are technically costing me £1 a month!!

With Vantage on the account as well, the interest I get every month is more than the account costs, so I'm chuffed!

It's not all crud for planks, you know!

Well done mate, MRCOW is not with the program.

I had an account, the monthly fee was annoying me because I wasn't really using the freebies so I cancelled it.

Yeah mate I think I've got a cracking account here! :D

At the end of the day, my account was with Nationwide, and they paid me , what they call in the business, "Jack Sh*t" in interest. The account fee now does not annoy me, as the interest I get now pays for it, and I'm left a few quid in pocket, so I'm laughing really!
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

    :rotfl: Yes it is!

You can get mobile insurance for a couple of quid per month. Breakdown cover for a fiver for a whole year if you include cash-back and the travel insuance will cost you under £30 quid.

You can add Vantage to any Lloyds account - including the free ones. Then you wouldn't be "covering your costs", you'd be quids in.

Just because you were being ripped off royally by Vodaphone, it doesn't make Lloyds value for money!

    :rotfl::rotfl:

    Which "program" is that then?

The one where you stand next to a toilet and see who can flush their money down it the fastest?

I wouldn't even p*ss on phone insurance for a few quid a month, probably not worth it for the phone I have (£500 sim free), AA cover I don't really care about as there is a policy on the car that someone else pays for anyway but it means I have cover wherever I go and I've been bitten by cashback sites not paying out (I am still trying to get £73 from quidco from over a YEAR ago!!!), and the travel insurance? You say £30? That's £2.50 a month as it is.

So, if it is all the same to you, I'll keep my Silver Vantage account thank you.

Do whatever you prefer. Personally I like getting value for money, but I understand that we're not all the same.

    btw, why are you here?

    Because I'm a money saver.

Why are you here? To antagonise everyone?
