Recordrentacar everytime for us. We made the mistake of going with ORLANDO in Tenerife and they had the fuel ripp off!
Will always stick with recordcar, they are offsite now from Tenerife airport but the service of getting you to their depot max 10 mins away just of the motorway too is great.
No hidden charges.

My costing was for hiring a Ford KA (tank price is typically €60 or more) you couldn,t get €60 worth of fuel in one??
That's nearly £60 to us now!

Record Go Destinations
These conditions are valid only for the following destinations: Alicante, Gran Canaria, Malaga, Mallorca and Tenerife.- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(1, 91)"]Guaranteed car category[/URL] When you make your booking, you have to state the category of the car you wish to rent. Our team will do their best to provide you with the required car. If it is not available, we guarantee that you will get a higher category car at the same price.
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(2, 91)"]Clear, All-inclusive rates[/URL] No small print. No surprises. When you book with Record Rent a Car, you know what you'll pay. Our rates include:
- Local taxes: I.V.A. or IGIC
- Unlimited mileage
- Full comprehensive insurance, except on:
- groups E1 and E2, that have an excess fee of 400 €
- groups Q and Q1, that have an excess fee of 600 €
- Free additional driver.
- The insurance also covers vehicle substitution in case of imperative reasons.
- Free Cancellation Policy
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(3, 91)"]Free airport service.[/URL] The service to the airport is free. At all our destinations we have either a desk at the Airport or one of the staff members will wait for you at the meeting point
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(4, 91)"]Out of hours delivery.[/URL] For deliveries out of our office hours (from 0:00h to 7:00h in Palma de Mallorca, Alicante, Malaga; and from 23:00h to 7:00h on the Canary Islands) there is an extra charge of € 30.
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(5, 91)"]Accesories.[/URL] We offer child seats and booster seats for an extra payment of € 3,00 per day with a maximum of € 36. We cannot guarantee the accesories' availability unless they have previously been requested during the booking process.
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(6, 91)"]Fuel Policy[/URL] Alicante, Malaga and Majorca:
In order to offer the best service possible at Alicante and Malaga Airport, the vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel with the following options:
- For rentals with a duration of 4 or more days, the tank will be provided full and will have to be returned as empty as possible.
- For rentals with a duration of less than 4 days, the following options would apply:- Full-Half: Customer will pay for half a tank of fuel and the vehicle will have to be returned half.
- Full-Empty: Customer will pay for a full tank of fuel and it will have to be returned as empty as possible.
- Full-Full: Customer will have to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel.
Regarding the Full-Half option, Record Go would like to inform that, in the event the vehicle is returned will less fuel than agreed upon collection, the missing fuel plus a 15-euro processing fee will be charged to the customer.
In the same way, with regard to the Full-Full option, if the vehicle is not returned full, the missing fuel and a 15-euro processing fee will be charged to the customer.
Gran Canaria, Tenerife Sur:
We will give you the car ready to enjoy and with enough fuel to get to the nearest petrol station. The amount of fuel in the deposit depends on the previous customer. If you drop the car off with less petrol than it had when you picked it up, we will charge the difference to your account. - [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(7, 91)"]Delivery of the keys, and traffic fines.[/URL] For your total comfort, the delivery of the keys and documents take place at our offices at the airport.
Please, enjoy your rental respecting the traffic regulations. The hirer of the vehicle will be responsible for fines due to traffic violation or illegal parking. - [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(8, 91)"]Driving licenses, experience and minimum age.[/URL] The driver must be in possession of a valid driving license that allows him also to drive in the E.U. The driver must have held his driving license for at least one year. All drivers have to be at least 21 years of age.
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(9, 91)"]Payment by credit card upon pick up.[/URL] Payment will be made by credit card at the time of pick up. The owner of the credit card must be present upon collection. When making the reservation, the customer has to provide us with all the necessary details; otherwise the reservation will not be admitted. If you make your booking through our Internet form, a "Secure Transmission", or secure server will be used.
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(10, 91)"]Invoices.[/URL] If an invoice in the name of the company is required, the clients needs to make sure that the company's data is provided upon pick up before the rental agreement is issued. The rental agreement has to be issued in the name of the company in order to enable us to issue the invoice in the name of the company. Once the rental agreement is issued, it is not possible to change the data of the invoice as this is always related to the information stated on the rental agreement.
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(11, 91)"]Remember, your rental is only for Spain.[/URL] Our vehicles may not be taken abroad.
Our vehicles may not be taken on any ferry boat. Vehicles hired on the Canary Islands and on the Balearics may not be moved between islands. - [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(12, 91)"]Using Record Club membership points.[/URL] All collected points from the Record Club membership can only be applied in the following destinations: Alicante, Gran Canaria, Malaga, Mallorca y Tenerife Sur.

- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(14, 91)"]Guarantee of privacy and security of your data.[/URL] Record respects the customer's privacy and does not sell or rent any confidential information to third parties.
- [URL="javascript:mostrarcapa(15, 91)"]What is not covered by the insurance?[/URL] The insurance does not cover the following:
- Flat tires
- Damage to third parties due to negligence or reckless driving.
- Damage caused to the vehicle due to negligence or reckless driving.
- Inadequate refuelling.
- Damage to tires and wheels.
- Loss or damage of car keys or remote locks. Depending on the type of vehicle the charge ranges between € 30 and € 120
- Damage to the lock, upholstery and rear shelf.
- Damage or loss of the child seats or booster seats.
- Damage or loss of ariels, car jack, security triangles, wiper-blades and deposit cap.
- Damage to the engine due to negligence.
- Damage to the vehicle’s underside (housing, bodywork, etc.)
- Misuse of the clutch.
- Theft of the vehicle with keys in the starter.
- Driving under the effects of the alcohol.
- Damages to windshields and windows.

The last time we hired a car there was a German guy going nuts he was only using the car to get to his accomodation & they were picking it up the next day. They were still charging him the fuel policy price!
