USA Car Rental - Reccomendations

I am going to LA next month and am looking to rent a convertible for 10 days, anyone know who has the best deals in terms of cost and selection??
Have been on the major company websites but it seems they don't add on the insurance etc and therefore the total price isn't the total price!!

    https://www.netflights.com
hired off them several times. excellent. cheap. use dollar so have convertibles (have had sebring and mustang convertibles from them)
  • I got my 12 day hire from Dollar via www.carhire3000.com - as recommended to me by the lovely lot over on the Vegas thread. The quotes include insurances so you don't think you are geting a bargain only to find the the price has doubled! Its worth getting an online quote but then calling (freephone) to check any queries & make the booking - they will give you the lower online price. You can also cancel the booking at no cost.

I used "usrentacar" and got a quote for 350 for a mustang, sounds almost too good to be true especially as enterprise quoted me almost twice that for the same vehicle.
Would it be best to give the company a call and make sure the price is fully inclusive??

netflights will be the same (maybe cheaper).
    they are all inclusive too.

PS - The Mustang is the biggest pile of crap i've ever driven.
try and get a sebring if you can

no need to call them , you have opted for the fully inclusive insurance so you are ok . just make sure they dont try and hard sell you break down cover at the car hire desk . they dont tell you this is only if you loose your car so it has to be towed . sadly this is being " tried on " by more rental firms in the states

you have a good price , book it !!
