Graded appliances Pontypool/Newport area.

Does anyone know of any shops that sell graded appliance - looking for a washing machine as ours has finally died.
By graded - I mean ones with dents/dings.
I know some shops will have 1 offs like this BUT is there anywhere that sells primarily graded? The ones I knew of seemed to have closed.

Makes two of us - although Newport Risca would be more my area!

I managed to get a Zanussi Washing machine with 1 small ding, they said cost £349 (elsewhere cheapest price I found was £289 delivered) for £150 + a MASSIVE £29.95 del. charge so £179.99. Not too bad getting £109 off. BAD that you have to wait 14 days for it, especially since the delivery charge is so high! Only 6 months warrantee too.

Bit peeved that I found a similar machine but with 6kg load instead of the 7kg load I managed to get for just £243 with FREE 2yr warrantee on John Lewis with FREE 2 day del + removal of old machine BUT I hesitated & when I went back later in the day it had increased to £279. This was probably a better deal BUT it went before I had a chance to secure the great price.

If you use the site - do your homework first! Some people were bidding higher than shop prices IF they shopped around - something which never ceases to amaze me.

I just hope if it does decide to go wrong it happens in the 1st 6 months.

I beleive there is a place on Windsor Road in the centre of Griffithstown that might sell refurbished washing machines etc.

Thats closer than newport if your in pontypool..

just found a great ebay shop with free delivery www.graded-appliances.co.uk bought a washing machine, not a mark on it and a dryer with a mark on the side. With full warranty too

What about the guy in GRIFFITHSTOWN Pontypool? He was still there last time I went that way? I bought some good bargain priced appliances from him some years ago :-)
