Had a very amusing 10 minutes chat with the manager of my local Tesco this morning. He told me it had been very hectic as all the tills had crashed and so he was just off to have a cup if coffee., his mobile was ringing and he switched it off so we could chat.....he happened to notice all the Pikapaks( only 5 to top up , .........he should have seen my first shop of these:eek:)
Do you like those ? he asked...well...I thought about it , should I tell him....and then thought ..........why not!! Because of your lovely coupon policy I can use the £2 worth of coupons on the back of the packs and for every £1.19 spent on those....I'll get £2 back ....so x 5 = £5.95 which means I will have got £10 back when I've used the coupons, and I've got until 2011 in which to do so as long as you keep to your policy....guess what he said peeps??...............In looked at me in disbelief and then admiration and said "Good for you, I love to see a customer saving money in a Tesco store, but I also like to see them spending , so I'm off now so you can carry on filling your trolley with all our great bargains"....spent £22 and used just under £10 of coupons but till crashed as she was trying to take 3 internet ones that would not scan...was told to take 'em to CS and get the cash for them...which I did...2 Cifs and 1 Grazia...£1.90 in cash...I love Tesco....0 -

This site is great, it's like another little familyLots of advice, help when in trouble and even the odd little argument:eek:
I think we should have a mse couponers convention at the seaside and the FIRST invite should go to mad;) (there we are mad, you've been invited to the seaside now :rotfl:)
Welcome to this great site cootambear, nowhere better on the internet:TBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

If they are all genuine coupons, I thought your manager would be bending over backwards to welcome the extra profit.
"literally hundreds of coupons" means literally hundreds of extra handling charges, which means £s more bottom line profit.
My local would much prefer to receive the extra profit than pay American Express for my custom.
By taking lots of coupons, they also get a lot more trade from me.
They dropped it down to 10% briefly, then presumably realised that nobody with coupons bothered shopping there anymore, because they then decided to train the staff insteadso they now only take coupons they can redeem.:T
The staff also come on here frequently, so hello:beer:
Yeah, I'm not exactly sure what's goin on, but that's what they're doing at the moment. The only thing I can think of is that we recently got a new store manager, so it's probably something to do with him wanting to show off. Who knows.0 -
Been working so hard this morning - I need coupons to unstressed me now...
Just finished my lunch @ work whilst reading this thread. Shame my T does not accept printable coupons, I am relying original coupons directly from mfg.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
Hi Guys, am back from my lovely holiday. Thanks for all your well wishes before I went.
I have just spent two hours trawling thru 13 pages, and I haven't even unpacked yet.
BLUEWKD, so sorry to hear about your coupon loss, let me know if there is anything you need.
Babyj3, it was seventies music and I MOC danced until 2 every morning! Not sure it did any good but I enjoyed it anyway.
Unfortunately in my alcohol induced haze I forgot all about coupons, didn't spend or collect any all weekend, it was quite liberating.
Anyway off to unpack now. Missed you all.:D“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0 -

Fantastic, VeggieCar :A those PDF coupons are like goldust
...thanks also to the original poster of the Eukanuba puppy food promotion. My £4.99 coupon arrived today :T
Had a good visit to Mr T's yesterday - checkout lady had a sense of humour and was joking about how many people she'd seen today clutching Grazia vouchers [= last day today for that one].
The Nestle Pickapack coupons are still appearing in the cereal multipacks - following the guidelines kindly posted here, I came home with two packs - each containing £2 worth of vouchers :T..... [for info, BBF date on outer cellophane was 30.11.09].
