I'm travelling to London later this week and staying in a hotel, I'd rather not pay their £20 parking charge, is it OK to park in the streets around there or is it all residents parking, and if so do these apply between say 20.00 and 06.00?

Would say it would be difficult overnight there. There is a website around that lists all the free parking spaces in London. Cannot for the life of me remember it now. Sorry
