Surplus Cash ?

Hi i have just paid off my mortgage and now have surplus cash each month and want to know the best place to put it ( ie property, savings etc) please advise

Hi Rylestone,

Congrats on paying off your mortgage. As far as savings and investments for surplus funds, I would firstly ask your age, attitude towards risk and your general financial position. But for example, making use of your ISA allowance (upto £7200) by either lump sum investments or drip feeding into the market via direct debit would be excellent. You could also consider increasing contributions towards your pension depending on your age. But first point of call after the above points, would be deciding what you current and future commitments will be....?
