After making lamb meatball curry & lovin it:D

I plan on trying it with chicken meatballs instead of breast (as I can put chilli & herbs in the mince).

But I can only find turkey mince in the supermarket:confused:

I guess it won't matter that much when the chilli & herbs are in it, but do they not sell minced chicken (I prefer chicken to turkey)?

meat supermarket:confused: dont you use your local butcher he is the meat specialist.

I asked about supermarkets as they are national.

No good someone telling me to go to Harrys in Clacton-on-sea:rolleyes:;)
  • Sainsbury sell Chicken Mince. I make chicken burgers flavoured with Italian herbs. It complements the chicken beautifully. Served with green beans and new potatoes. Nice summer dish.

Thanks for this, I too have been looking for chicken mince everywhere and not been able to find it

I buy chicken mince quite regularly (cheaper and healthier alternative!) from Asian supermarkets/cash and carry's. Its a common food item for us Asians!

If you have one near you, I am pretty sure they will have it.

If they don't have it already done at the asian butchers they will do it for you, just ask. I always get my beef mince freshly done and lamb mince off the leg (expensive but lovely). The chicken breast is normally way cheaper than supermarket prices too.

I don't have any Asian butchers or supermarkets near me.

The leanest lamb mince I have found is in Waitrose, you are lucky being able to get leg minced:D
