Ebay - how many sales before upgrade?

HI everyone,

I bought few items on Ebay over the years and I am also currently trying to sell few small items.

However it looks like soon I will need to list my old car for sale on Ebay as Autotrader advert is not working.. But at this moment I still have to list Paypall as one of the payment options - due to too few items that I've put on Ebay so far... I've read somewhere that people when buying cars don't like to pay by Paypall for some reason..

What are your thoughts? How many items do you have to sell before you can leave out Paypall?

And anyone has any suggestions or advice to maximise my chances of selling my car?

Firstly under no circumstances offer paypal on a car, and read this before you go further: Cars are exempt from the paypal rule.

All sellers must offer paypal on all items except those in the car and motor vehicle categories

    Hi,

I read an article recently on TameBay suggesting that GumTree is a great place to flog old cars and is free!

    Article here: http://www.tamebay.com/2009/02/gumtree-sold-my-car-in-under-3-hours.html

Another site a few of my friends have used is the classified section on PistonHeads (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/) but this is mainly for performance cars.
