  • well done to you x. its a real lift to get jobs done at long last. we had some luck with the grand national and won enough to get our garden done , i think this was hevean sent aswell , just before the race we were stood looking at the garden and wondering where we could get the cash from to get it nice for the summer and the kids. we have now named the house "the haven" and getting a bench that im going to plaque "the grand national 2009" lol.

    Heres to the future and knowing were being looked after from above xxxx

  • Hi Toe jumper - I'm really pleased to read about your big win.

    I just wanted to tell you that damp proof courses rarely - IF EVER fail. It's almost always something else - blocked air vents or a lack of air movement in the home (ventalation). The latter is often caused by new uPVC windows sealing the home tight.

    Please don't waste your money on injected damp proof courses - look at web sites like SPAB (Society for the protection of Ancient buildings) they have a series of videos about damp (you can watch online - for free) - that tells you what action you can take your self.
