    Hi FeeFee,

I've just a quick read through your thread, the haircut is controversial!

I'm SO on your side - I truly hate hairdressers, they give me the willies, so if you've found one who doesn't, then I reckon stick with her....

I read with glee how well your shopping went, love Aldi and Lidl!

For what it's worth, I'd take the payment holiday, but make sure you put all the spare money to paying the higher rate debts or it won't be worth it. You would need to be really careful that if you take the payment holiday you don't end up with a much higher "missing amount" those months.

Have you had any luck finding the missing expenditure from statements and CC bills?

    Bex :)
Do you need it? Yep. Really? Yes! How have you managed for the last 28 years without it? Erm....

    :hello:Good morning

Bex - Thanks for the support much appreciated :D
Most of the unaccounted for money I think is frittered away on trips to the local M&S garage for bits and bobs of food & wine &wine &wine &wine;)
Some does go on the debts the original SOA shows minimum payments rather than payments made.... I went through and added the supermarket totals and guessed at my grocery totals so I think thats way off..... Spending diary is being kept up to date though! I think it will be a work of art until payday in two weeks time (no choice got no bucks!) but then the true beast that lies beneath will be revealed

I have re-looked at the repayment holiday option and worked out that it would cost me c.£25+ extra in interest charges - that balanced with the psychological advantages of knowing its going to be done sooner have led me to decide against it....

Anyways going to try for a NSD today:rotfl:

    Morning

Have just checked my experian file and the incorrect default from British Gas has been removed. I am absolutely in shock especially as I only reported it last Thursday. Given the level of customer service I encountered when I was trying to sort out problems with them a couple of years ago I damn near fell of my chair this morning!!

This leaves me with nothing too nasty on my credit file apart from an old loan with some missed payments on that was settled 08/03 so should I'm hoping disappear off there soon. So just need to deal with the rest of the debts, get saving and hopefully get myself a mortgage in the not too dim and distant future....?? possibly....?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Off into town to submit some name-change paperwork to the bank (reverting back to my maiden name phew!) so will have to try very hard not to be distracted by anything shiny in the shop windows....

    Hello there,

Good point about the psychological effects of the payment holiday... Hadn't even thought of that!

The "oooh I just need some bread, and some hoummus, and some chocolate, oh and maybe those crips, and perhaps some wine, and...." feeling is one I know well. I'm banned from tesco shopping when hungry and banned from going without a list. (because while I remember all the things I don't need, I never remember the things I do!) Tricky.

Very good news about the credit file :) I'm a bit jealous, I'm pretty sure (too scared to check) that mine is rubbish....

Did you get the NSD you aimed for?

Good work on the paperwork, there's such a feeling of dom looking at doing it, and relief when it's finished. I always find it hard to start, so commend you.

Went into town today and saw lots of shiny things.... cheated by picking up the accessorize brochure. That'll sate my thirst for a little while, and I can leave it lying around when my birthday is coming up. That's my top tip. (picking up pretty brochures, not necessarily leaving them lying around!)

Anyhow, I must get on and clear out the larder. Catch you later FeeFee :)
