Car Leasing
I am looking to change my car which I normally do every 3 years. I have always used finance over 60 months and normally the car is roughly worth what I owe so I am never out of pocket.
This time I have kept my car longer as I am in negative equity, but the car dealership are happy to give me more than my car is worth on a 08 plate car.
I have been looking at either a PCP or now even leasing.
Has anyone ever leased a vehicle long term like with Citroen Leasing and if so is it worth doing?

I would ask for a quote then compare like with like.0

Kirkie,
We were looking to lease/PCP or whatever when my wife renews her Citroen in July.
£135 pm lease/PCP
£150 pm to own outright - bank loan
So over the three years I could pay out an extra £540 and have a car to sell/px at the end.
Somehow the maths dont work out as after three years PCP she still wont own the car. And even then the Citroen deals have some limits on what car you can choose so a heftier deposit may be required to PCP.
Perhaps someone cleverer than me can work it out so it will help the pair of us?0 -
36 month leases are pretty standard but look wider and further than Citroen leasing, lots of 3rd part companies with good deals. If you really do change every 3 years leasing is a good option that must be compared with PCP. Sometimes leasing can be quite a bit cheaper if the leasing company can negotiation better discounts than private individuals due to their purchasing volumes. Often works for Vauxhalls and Citroens for example.
Look up the exact car on whatcar.com and look for the lease this car now link, add VAT for personal leasing, most lease prices are quoted ex. VAT for business users.0
