Apple Macs Are they worth it?

I'm surprised that little BlackBook hasn't already sold (particularly after being mentioned on here!). It's got a great spec and it probably looks like new.
It would blow the socks off what the OP is thinking of buying.
And, of course, it has Firewire.
I'm not sure I agree. The white MacBooks still have FireWire, and their NVIDIA graphics card is a lot better than the Intel one the black MacBook comes with.
The black MacBook has a bigger hard drive and a slightly faster processor. The OP is getting a brand new MacBook with three years AppleCare for £100 less than the cost of the used one.0 -
She brought excellent wine, sipped half a bottle of champagne before dinner, drank Sancerre with the first course, iced vodka with the interlude, most of a bottle of Burgundy with the main course, port with the cheese, Moscatel with the desert and Armagnac with the coffee.
Has she got a drink problem

Dug up this old thread to continue on the discussion.
I bought an Acer Laptop last June after being fed up of my ugly old Dell. It's a decent looking thing, 13" screen which is very important for portability.
But there is one drawback... IT RUNS WINDOWS VISTA!!!
Before I wouldn't have even considered a Mac, as I was perfectly happy with XP. Vista even screwed up my main gaming PC, so much that I binned it (Ok, sold it on eBay) and bought myself a PS3.
I thought Vista would be OK for general stuff like the internet, but it's still not very reliable. In fact I'm on a good run at the moment - about a week without me wanting to throw it out the window!
I've seen MacBooks on the gadget show and in real life and have been really impressed.
But I can't justify upgrading so soon, that is unless there are some amazing offers. I'm looking for something small, powerful and with great battery life.
I don't seem to recall seeing any MacBook's on broadband dongle offers, probably as they cost a fair whack, but then you could always put some money down up frontWycombe Till I Die0
