Does anyone know which way the markets usually move after a bank holiday, is there a trend or not?

    Nothing to do with BH but for info April is nearly always the best month of the year for the markets.

    so if I checked, Id find say in atleast 20 of the last 25 years that April was the best month of the year for markets ? I somewhat doubt that

    Surely it entirely depends what buy/sell orders have been set for when the markets open? I doubt that's something predictable just from a couple of extra days of closed markets...

    Im sure futures are traded on holidays. It'll give you an indication on where the market will open.
