Hi
We have a PC and I can use the MP3 files no problem with my MP3 player
BUT
DD has an I pod and an extensive collection of CDs. She would like to copy tracks onto the i pod.
We have created an account in the i tunes store...
and I am at a total loss as to how to rip files from the CD and sync them to her i pod...
it seems rather complicated and irritation is setting in.
We just are not getting playlists built (and I am rapidly losing the will to live) much less getting them onto her i pod.
Many thanks in advance.

On my itunes home page, when I am on the home page I just pop the cd into the drive and wait, it then asks me if I want to upload the songs, I just click yes and the cd is uploaded, as for the ipod sync, it does it auto when the ipod is connected.0

Problem is she doesn't want to upload every track on the CD just a few...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

When you click yes to uploading the cd, you can then just remove the check marks within the little box at the side of the track, or you can just erase the ones you don`t want.0

Go here, click the on the type of product you're having problems with, and it'll tell you everything you need to know.
It's not necessary to create an iTunes Store account to add music to your iPod, so I think you might be over-complicating things a little bit. iTunes is really very easy to use0 -
TBH even when I looked on the user guide there were no tips on how to transfer music you already own to your device...the cynic in me thinks that it's because apple would prefer if we bought our music from them...
to do fewer then 30 tracks from 5 CDs has taken us about 3 hours:rolleyes:
and I am computer literate
honest guv!
Marty - anything's easy to use when you're familiar with it...my own device is a Zen stone bought on offer from Morrisons and it took me minutes to get stuff on - I regularly download podcasts to that no problem...but this has been the bane of my life for 3 months and it's not even my flippin' device! So I just wondered if anyone could give us a few hints and tips to save me trawling through menu options...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
