Steam Press

Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a good steam press? I've got about 3 mountains of ironing to get through and i can't face doing it with a normal iron as it would take wayyyyy too long!
Thanks!

Do you know anyone who already has one of these so you could borrow it for practice? My MIL has used one for years and swears by it, but I couldn't get the hang of it at all - it was great for square things like bedding, but useless for shirts etc (MIL irons shirts on hers with no trouble). It was also bulky to store and not that much faster than an iron, in fact, I found it a bit slow. I gave mine to MIL when hers (Elnapress) broke down.

Why not buy one off QVC if they have one in stock use it within the thirty days money back guarantee if you like it keep it if you don't return it and get your money back all you have to loose is the money you spend on the p&p. Also if it is an item over 4kg they will collect it, so it cost nothing to return.
  • I had one returned it back to argos I prefer a steam generator.

    Hi :hello:

I don't have a steam press, but would highly recommend a steam generator. Ironing is not one of my favourite chores but since having the steam generator it's not so bad

I also had a steam generator (Tefal) but the only benefit I found was that the steam lasted ages before having to refill the tank - it was nowhere near as good at ironing as my old steam iron as it kept stopping to heat the water all the time, so it slowed me right down. Then the steam generator went 'bang' whilst ironing one day and all the water poured out of the tank - I wasn't too bothered because it meant I could buy a normal iron again (which is fantastic).

Pompeii's QVC suggestion is really good.
