hi folks,
i'd really appreciate your help please. warning - i am not techie minded.
main problem - outlook express has disappeared. have just run anti - malware scan and nothing shows up.
logged onto internet this morning - outlook express o.k., went to send an email - pressed send button and page disappeared, tried hot key for o.e. - no programme came / comes up , tried to access offline - same. when i went to sign in again my password had dissapeared from the box.
(been having increasing probs over last while - lost sound - (mute button is off and can hear dialling connection ), dial-up connection often disconnects after few secs, also - box comes up sometimes when online saying - problem encountered need to close, quite often when sending an email and press the send button, page half blanks and a box comes up saying 'dr morten.....needs to close', sometimes a page doesn't load properly and the side bit is blank, pages load at tranquilised snail's pace. wondered if i might be low on memory? I downloaded anti-malware malwarebytes prog few weeks ago after reading on here, and ran scan - it found only one item - backdoor bot ( how serious or not is that?) - which i removed.
couple nights ago - i clicked off a webpage to come offline and umpteen pages flickered rapidly across the screen - not happened before, i didn't know what it was and pulled the plug. i ran the anti-spy and malwarebytes and nothing showed.
i run windows xp prof. and am on a slow 46kb dial-up connection - if that has any bearing.
