My partner has a Capital One debt problem that was all charges from a credit card she had. The debt was sold to Robinson Way and she made payments bringing the debt from some £400 to £279.00 during this time we asked robinson way to provide a Credit Agreement and asked them to provide a breakdown of the debt as it is all charges. None was supplied so we witheld payment . Robinson Way then telephoned the house making once only telephone offers Robinson Way then sold the debt on. I am unsure what to next. I am in the process of writting to Horwich Farrelly asking for them to hold interest charges and alliw me time to contact Capital One I am wondering if I should contact Capital one my self requesting a break down of the charges even though the debt is reffered to Horwich Farrelly.

Hi - I had a Capital One Account which was sold to Hillesden Securities, interest charges automatically stopped and they were recovering my outstanding balance of around £350. I started paying them something around £10 a month to clear it but in the meantime I wrote to Capital One to claim my overlimit and late payment charges, using the templates on this site. When I first took out the card i think charges were around £20 a time and they were lowered to £12 within a year of me opening my account. Capital One wrote back and refunded me the difference, about £90 if i remember rightly and they knocked this off the balance that Hillesden were recovering from me.
If you are going to contacting these companies on behalf of your partner you will probably need to write more letters from your partner authorising you to speak on their behalf.0 -
This happened 4 years ago so I reckon that the charges where hi. The balance on the card was 250 as it had this limit This has already been paid of at least once if not twice and run back up to charges. I would be grateful if you could put a link to the teplate letter you used requesting the charges back please. Thankyou for your help0
