Shoe Gal you signature looks great well done on beating those debts! When do you think you will be debt free?

    Thanks Jen

A very, very long time  I have about £25k in total  and used to have it all in my signature but it looked too overwhelming. I now pay minimum payments on everything and am picking one at a time to throw any extra at.

I still like to have a life - and as I am single and live alone the potential of becoming a hermit scares me :o - so I know it will take a long time, but that's how I've decided to do.

Thanks :D I think it's the only way for me - realistically I have cut my SOA as much as I can for utilities, phones, stuff like that - but I still like a few nights out, clothes, shoes (of course :o) and other treats but I am strictly a cash/debit card only girl now - and believe, that in itself is a huge change for me :o I was looking at some old credit cards statements the other day and I realised how much I spent - and how little I have to show for it

I wish I didn't enjoy drinking lol, I'm quite a quiet person and it's the only thing that makes me less inhibited.

I feel the same about my debt, I know I have my car and so on, but I also have a lot of stuff I never really needed like £1000 worth of corsets :o. I'm still trying to wean myself off of my credit card, my bill isn't ever very high and I always pay it off in full, I only really use it because I'm paranoid I'll accidently go over my overdraft and get charged...

Your corset collection sounds like my shoe collection :o

I actually put my petrol on a credit card and pay it in full every month so I don't count this as using credit. I do it for 2 reasons - it means I always have money for petrol to get to work, I have quite a long journey, and also I am scared that if I don't use my card they will close it and I like the 'security blanket' for a real emergency. (I have now realised that the need to buy shoes is not an emergency :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

LOL @ emergency shoes :-) Luckily I'm not that interested in clothes although it would be cheaper than cars! Although knowing the price of some of Nickis corsets I'm not sure about that!

Sadly I still think I have 'dress emergencies' lol. Clothes really are my weakness and I'm still finding it really hard not to buy them. Fortunately (kind of) for me I had really bad back pain a few years ago which has stopped me from buying corsets like I used to. I bought some really nice towels earlier instead, I figure I might need them soon lol.

I am intrigued by the corsets  do you just like them or was there more to it - costumes or something? Hence the change due to back pain
