Oh BB do not be ashamed my good good friend. Its amazing you managed this far.
We will figure out Matched betting and you have applied for that fab job. I know you see you don't want a management job but I think if you did it your way (ie your wonderful personality and your wonderful style) I bet you could make it yours and it would be a good enjoyable job.
I hate to think of you sitting there worrying and not saying that is what this place is for, I haven't been hugely intelligent re money. I thought I'd be debt free by the end of the year but essentially cos I seemed to live on a different plant recently I have massively screwed up and forgotten bills and extras. I was up till 2 working it all out. Its grim to be honest!
Anyhow, you know you are not alone right?
((((((((hugs)))))))))))

cheers Buffy. After becoming debt free, I vowed I would never, ever get back into the mire.
I'm going to take a deep breath and start a diary. For those who don't know me, I guess I'll have a lot of questions about my low income etc but I'll try to explain it all.
Inspired by PaP looking at her account, i've just checked and I have £287 in interest on one of my ISA's (the other is dwindling away and I spent the interest last month) so that's going to be part of my battle plan.
ooooooooooh, god, here we go again............sigh........

BB :grouphug: I'm in a similar position, where my income barely meets my outgoings, and I know I've been overspending like money is going out of fashion, so I need a bit of a wake-up call before I slide back into debt.
We're not in exactly the same position - but we both need to make some changes and are struggling because we feel worn down and exhausted by everything life has thrown at us. So maybe we could motivate each other a bit to start doing something about it?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
cheers............I've done it.........gulp.........I've started a diary........I pressed send and sat with my head covering my eyes so I couldn't see it appear on the screen.......but it's there now.........:(
The glands in my neck are really up, it's my sign of stress and worry. Think I'll go and do the washing up and then come back and post an SOA.

BB - you have nothing to be ashamed of hun... and this is the one place where shame just doesn't even come into it, shame is a non existent word here!
you're not in debt per se, you're just acknowledging that if you don't take action you might end up in trouble again...... so far from being defeatist you should be positive that you're being so proactive!
Please don't feel you can't share with us...
Personally i've let things slide a bit too... my mastercard is almost back to it's limit... i need to address it majorly!!
Spud - you will manage Leeds!!! Even if you have to walk it, so what!!! It's taken me aaages to get up to running 10k, so don't set unrealistic targets that you'll set up to fail.....even if you walk it, it's a major achievement (another major achievement in 2009!!)I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Hugs BB, I think we all hide things and try to carry on with life as its too painful/difficult to deal with...me included! I seem to be spending money like its going out of fashion and we will have virtually no income in 6 weeks  so I too need a kick up the backside!
We are always here for you to have a rant when you are feeling down.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I did start one not long since but kind of let it lapse. In a couple of weeks I'll have a clearer idea of my income etc, so until then I'm just going to behave and try not to spend. Then I'll tackle a new SOA and see where I need to go from there.
