Up too early- Bank Holiday Monday Daily Chat

Why have I been up for 2 hours already...is everyone else still snoozing in bed . Thought DD would sleep in late today considering she was running around outside all afternoon and then didn't go to bed until late, but no ping 6am and she is up

Anyway we are off to the allotment today, its glorious sunshine and supposed to be lovely and warm :)

    Hi Sally
I was going to have a lie in but never can. I seem to automatically go 'ping' at 6am at the latest!
Never mind - today is MY day to do exactly what I want with. (after I've finished the washing up from yesterday).
It's still dull and gloomy here.
Don't forget to get some rhubarb.

    Hi ya Sall!
    I've been up since 7.

Not great weather today, I plan on going for a run, doing an Easter Egg run and dropping off eggs to various God children.

Sal, I want to make a lamb curry in the slow cooker with the left over lamb from last night-tell me your dead easy way to do it and what veg can I add? I have carrots, onions, leeks, broccoli, cauliflower, courgettes in the fridge.

Its my OH's birthday today and I haven't got him anything....not even a card....he usually tells me what he wants but not this year, so I didn't get him anything. He has just said 'so I am not getting anything for my birthday then'. I said you didn't get me anything and he has accused me of playing tit for tat.......he is now sulking..

He is 49 for gods sake, we are going away on Thursday for his birthday and DD1's boyfriends 21st birthday. So he can play golf.....! He seems to have forgotten that bit!!

I have been up for hours too!!!!!

Not a good start to your day then!

I am so sick of listening to this overflow.
I'm now waiting for the water to heat up for shower and washing up. I turn it off at the stop !!!! at night so can't put immersion on til I get up. That said it was still overflowing at 3am so not sure why I bother.
Where is it coming from if the mains is off.:confused:
    More coffee needed.

  • Morning. I have been up since 5.30 with my DS (10mths old). He's just about ready for his morning nap now, but I have loads to do. Come on here to remind myself that I must try not to spend too much money today - just going to the park with the children. DH playing golf so he gets the whole day off while I struggle with two children, one in a buggy. Love him, but he thinks that as I'm around rather than at work he gets to go off and do what he likes!

I wish we could have some sunshine today.
Waiting to hear from the friend who wants to go to Ikea today.
She did also mention a garden centre which might be slightly less traumatic.
DD2 returns from France later so hopefully will drop in for a glass with a car full of beer.
    Def not seeing Mum.
