Well I have emailed them to ask - and hopefully they will respond with something along the lines of "We're terribly sorry that you are missing out on your free cone. Here, have a voucher for a free tub instead!"

Oh this hacked me off last year. Unless you store is in the middle of the city and you work in the same city you have no chance! I work full time 50 miles from my local free scoop. What a jip!

I missed out last year as I was poorly and couldn't get to a store, but I remember the year before there was an offer whereby if you took in a copy of the Metro from that day, there was an ad in there which entitled you to two free scoops instead of one - so keep an eye on publications in case they do a similar offer again this year!

Went to see where it gets made in Vermont USA the other day (well the UK stuff gets made in Holland so where the American stuff is made) Apparently they give away over a million cones on free scoop days but agree with Ada, B&J have a very strong ethos of social responsibility so the point is about raising money for charity so a small donation would be very much appreciated :A(they also give free icecream to their staff after every shift - I bet they are popular in the local community):j

They don't run out of ice cream.... I don't remember anyone getting turned away. The queue is really long though!!! And obviously there will be a limit to popular flavours so in that case they might run out of a particular flavour but not everything.... but thats just the same as a normal day I guess.

the one i'm gonna be going to is the o2 centre so not central london but near enough so i'm gonna plan to get there for 12.30/12.45
also there's a wetherspoons next door so i can have a few cheeky drinks while i wait to go back for more

OOooh yay!! I was gutted when they discontinued Cherry Garcia in the big tubs, this may make up for it (well, a lil bit.. lol) :T

Just to let you know that the ODEON Leeds-Bradford is taking part on behalf of the NSPCC but it was last minute so isn't on the list on the B&J website yet
