Vodafone (A LOAD OF CRAP)

So I took out a contract with Vodafone, The new nokia 5800 (Which not as much as it was hyped up to be!)
Got the phone.
There where bits missing, the box was ripped!
Was told the phone was out of stock, and would have to wait to get a new one.
I didnt want to return my new toy within the 14 days, So the person told me It would be extented, and i would get a email and phone call to tell me it is back in stock. So I didnt get any.
I then emailed, got no reply.
My phone is now freezing and totaly messed up!
I emailed again, only to be told it was a upgrade (!!!!!! i have never been with vodafone!) And it was out the 14 days.
Got a reply telling me to wait for a freepost envelope and post it. No lone phone nothing.
I now feel like throwing the phone on the floor and not paying.
They had the nerve to say "we provide the newtork not the mobile" Well aren't they suppose to send a NEW phone not a refurb!
Any advice on what i should do?

hello so2006.
You should have rejected the package when you noticed it was damaged. I don't know why you didn't want to send it back within the 14 days but you should have done this.
They can't extend it beyond the 14 days so I don't know why they said that to you.
If you go on to vodafone.co.uk they have an eforum on there where VF employees will sort situations like this out for people.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -

The package was fine, it was the box that was not in the best condition.
The forum is useless. I am currently discussing it with the mods on there.
Not getting anywhere though :rotfl:0 -
Why not ???? If the phone wasn't up to scratch / not all equipment had been supplied, why not send it back ?
Exactly my point too. It is the rejecting of the missing/damaged goods which automatically triggers off the replacement process. they can't extend this 14 day period either.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -

-:rotfl: Dont make me laugh.
It all honest, I love the phone but faults developed around 3 weeks after.
First there was missing parts, the box was ripped.
I would not send it back, as it was out of stock, and was out of stock well for 1 whole month. Dont believe me? Well check the eforum.
So now gonna just well throw it in some guys face in my local vodafone shop.0
