If you go to here http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25500&s_cid=con_FURL_calls_international
and enter USA as your destination it says mobile calls are charged at 2.5p a minute.
Howver Mobile numbers in the USA/CANADA use 'standard' telephone codes for the locality the subscriber lives in. As such, it is not possible by looking at the number to tell whether it connects to a 'normal' phone or a mobile (unless you know the area code and the number ranges). Other suppliers include both landline and mobile calls in their inclusive minutes,so perhaps BT do so also.
Suggest you call them to clarify.
If you have inclusive geographical minutes with BT www.callsdiscount.com allow you to call the USA via the geographical access number.0203 3473399
So perhaps theirs no need to pay BT for Intl Freedom.:cool:0 -
I currently have the BT International Freedom plan and mobiles are included. Here in the UK, mobiles all start with an 07 number as far as I've ever seen.
In the states, mobiles are as jhp, geographical. That means that a mobiles in NY with have the same area code as landline phones there. Each state has their own area code(s)
The only calls I make to the states are too mobiles of my family there. I've not been charged for these calls at all.
