Hi there
I have a Hikona TVDV 1001 DVD player and it will not play a Verbatium RW+ dics that I have burned using Cyberlink Power2Go. It says "Wrong Disc". I have read online that it will not play Memorex discs either.
I just got this Cyberlink programme free with my new laptop.
Are there disc brands that "usually" work ?
or
Should I buy a better DVD burner programme.
Windows Vista's DVD maker will not burn the movies I have
Many thanks for any advice

Dont use RW
Use WRITABLES only....... DVD-R:idea:0 -
I'm not familiar with this brand, but a lot of DVD players won't read DVD-RW discs. Try a DVD-R instead. And check the manual to see what types it will accept. Verbatim is a premium brand, if it won't read that Idoubt it will read anything else.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I'd suggest you keep clear of whatever cheapies they have at the moment, can be a bit iffy.xxxdarlingxxx wrote: »I will try them aliEnRIK, I am guessing Maplin will have a decent selection to try.

Verbatim disks are probably the best ones I've used that are available on the High Street.0

Any disc with a Ritek dye is usually a good bet. Try your local independant computer shop, they should be able to advise you and might even be able to sell you a few discs for you to test without having to buy a full spindle.0

Disks with Ritek dyes are often at best pretty average in quality:

Is this a decent disc Marty. What particular disc do you go for.

I noticed another selling this particular dvd-r disc for this http://www.mouse2house.co.uk/product-T177-2947-Verbatim+DVD+R+8x+Branded+Hard+Coat+Protection+Black+Non+Print+Surface+Jewel+Case+++5+Pack.html?utm_id=43581&utm_source=Googlebase&utm_medium=feeds&utm_term=Googlebase&utm_content=Googlebase&utm_nooverride=1&%24%24tid=168lgR-SRT5A00nDw9B5KlGUeHHFnPqWP4GXJv1EC32OBHwe6TQ03713sH8bCqcb
A big difference in price.0
