There's a new costco opened in Cardiff, so I might look there next time I'm down that way. Mind you, that's nearly as far as poundland, but in the other direction!0

Gosh! Worth checking.
Yea, I thought i'd add that as it's a pretty good buy!
There's 3 QD stores near me (well within about 40 miles anyway) and 2 of them sell 1.5kg for 69p, the other only sells 1kg for 69p. But it's still pretty good I suppose..Sometimes.I.Wonder.Why.I'm.Still.Here..Sometimes.I.Think.I'm.Going.Crazy.0 -
I have both Makro and Costco cards and on the whole, by and large, it is cheaper to buy sugar, flour etc from supermarkets. Also dried fruit, nuts etc. Also value pasta, value/smartprice/basics chopped tomatoes, etc. Perhaps it may be worth getting a monthly supermarket shipping order with sufficient sugar etc.
Edited to Add - what is QD?Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

Edited to Add - what is QD?
QD is a store that sells a lot of stuff. It doesnt just sell food but most of what it sells is basically high quality stuff at discount prices. QD stands for Quality Discount but the stores just have QD on them. I'm not sure if they're a nationwide store or not though. I'll see if I can find out.
Edit - They seem to mainly have stores in East Anglia.Sometimes.I.Wonder.Why.I'm.Still.Here..Sometimes.I.Think.I'm.Going.Crazy.0
