Paying an IVA and creditors calling me ?

Ive had an IVA for almost 3 years and have never missed a single payment. But for the past 2 weeks i have had one of the creditors call me and ask me if my circumstances have changed.I thought they were not supposed to make any contact with me whilst i have this, the IVA took all the stress out of my debt and now im feeling harrassed for information I don't think i should be giving them.Am i within in my rights to just hang up the phone and tell them to leave me alone ?? Or do i have to answer the questions they have ??

Perfectly within your rights, yes. :)

    Not at all.

I presume you should inform your supervisor that a creditor is badgering you.

Not only is it harrassment, but you should report them, immediately, to your IP. They could be seen as trying to gain 'preferential status' whereas they are legally bound into accepting the terms of your IVA.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Once IVA is agreed any change of circumstances is reportable to your IP and no your creditors. You do not have to answer any questions from them just tell them to contact your IP and let your IP know whats happening.
