Local Housing Allowance

Hi All,

Just checked on the LHA Direct Website and it states in my postcode for the ammount of bedrooms comes in at £103.85. Does this mean I can get this ammount towards my rent?

How do you pay your rent now? Do you work?

It depends on your circumstances whether you will get help or not.

This is the maximum payable - I see from your other thread that you are currently expecting so you would currently fall into the 1 bedroom rate (irrespective of how many you actually have - although this will change to two when your little person arrives) if someone was on Income Support then they could probably get the full amount, if you are on low income you may get a little help

Not knowing your current arrangements, will add this too:

LHA applies only to private rented houses, not council houses.
