Best Regular Saving Accounts

Options
I have already spread my money around in abour 6 banks thus far (started doing that in June 2008 when I saw something wasnt quite right).

Anyway now that I have gone through and done usual things, ISA sorted for coming this year, a few 9 and 11 month fixed term bond saving accounts.

I also have the regular saving accounts (monthly) with halifax and barclays.

Now eyeing the HSBC regular saving account.

Question - are there any other good rate regular saving accounts.

I have searched on the net and there are a few which offer good interest from 4% to 6% (12 months) - but a lot of these are telephone or postal only.

I need internet enabled regular saving accounts - so if anyone knows of any I have missed with good rates please tell me.

What isn't clear from the general 'blurb' on the HSBC Regular Saver, but is made clear when you actually try to open one, is that your monthly salary or retirement income must be paid into your qualifying HSBC current account during the 12 month period of the Regular Saver - even Advance account holders, where there is no such requirement for opening the Advance account (only £500 per month minimum funding).

See the Acrobat file Ways to save & invest, page 12.

Hi Baldur - Ooooer thanks for the information - saving me the hassle of trudging to their branch next week as I was planning to do.

Baby Bloomer - thanks for the link - its good but mostly the rates given are not that high or not recent (which is to be expected).

One of the building societies listed is Cambridge BS which offers an account but being from Birmingham I am unlikely to find a branch close by and suspect its not internet based account anyway.

I really would like to know about internet only accounts - the fact that I have so many accounts means internet is the only way to keep myself going mad tryig to work out what goes where and when.
