  • Well I have some good news in that the electric reading that I got given (since I pay the bills but am not at the property) was WAY off and today's meter reading is 79277 so whoever read it initially saw it wrong.

Question is that although the bill is dated 4/12 - 4/03 can I still give this meter reading and get a smaller bill? Will they extrapolate this reading for the previous months? Thanks.

That is more like it! 8.8 units per day seems more reasonable.

As the last bill was an estimate, I'd certainly call the electricity company and ask them to amend the last bill or issue a new one showing this updated reading. They'll probably just carry any credit forward to your next bill.
  • our daily KWH usuage equates to 10 for sept-Dec quarter and 14 for dec-march. British Gas state 9-15 is the national average and so our bill seems reasonable and of course within that
