Get hold of a Haynes manual for your car. You're best replacing both at the same time. If one's gone, the other's not far behind - also having one new shock and one old one can cause issues with handling.
Try https://www.bookkoob.co.uk to find the Haynes manual at the cheapest price.0 -
i would imagine the hard part will be undoing the bolts, if you can loosen them all, go get the shocks and try it, if this fails just take the shocks to a garage0

"Plus gas" and flat sockets plus a longish breaker bar can often help here.hewhoisnotintheknow wrote: »i would imagine the hard part will be undoing the bolts, if you can loosen them all, go get the shocks and try it, if this fails just take the shocks to a garage0 -
I recently changed rear shocks on my Bmw and had both sides replaced in under 2 hours.
It is also a good idea to change the top mountings aswell.
Bilstein and Boge are good brands to buy as usually OEM. Eurocarparts.com is usually the cheapest place.0
