Next Monday going to dublin with Shearings
Will probably be stuck at the Interchange at Normanton for a couple of hours. Anyone who has been before with them do you know how long the journey takes to holyhead, are there any refreshment stops in between.
Just room and breakfast for 5 days, as its so expensive to eat in SI does anyone any tips about eating out on an evening. We are staying at Wynns Hotel in the very centre.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Wynns Hotel is right in the centre of Dublin, with a Luas (tram) stop right outside. It's an ideal base to explore Dublin.
As for costs, your not going to be able to do much about that? There is a cheap (and popular) kebab house in Temple Bar, near to the Porterhouse pub. If the weather is good you could pop into M&S on Graften Street and take a sandwich lunch in St Stephens Green, or the grounds of Trinity College?
There are a few shopping Malls with reasonably prices eateries. However the simple fact is that Dublin is not cheap and never has been. The weak pound makes it very expensive.0 -
Went to Dublin last week and although i'd been twice before and knew it was expensive, this time coz of the weak pound it was even more so. Even the cheap pubs further afeild are £5 a pint. A vodka and coke one night cost me £9:80!!!!
Anyways we knew we would spend a fortune so prepared for it. we saved money on food by having a big breakfast about 11ish which kept us going till dinner time0 -
anyone know of any vouchers for eateries in Dublin Bogof wise, I know, I know,
I'm clutching at straws. But whatever, i am going to enjoy myself even if its skints me, i have wanted to visti Ireland for years. A visit to the distillery and a ride on the Liffy is on the itinerarymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
