finding the best PCP provider

Is it possible to get quotes for PCP finance independantly?

I have priced up a car on Broadspeed and Drive the Deal whic are equally impressive and save a fair bit on List price.

The car would be bought directly from a dealer (after being introduced from one of the above). Now I'm guessing most dealers are tied to one or two finance providers so don't/can't really provide a quote across the whole market.

Is there anyway I can use the cash price quoted to search for my own PCP deal to compare against?

There arent too many companies doing guaranteed PCP deals, also i'd expect the dealer to be able to offer you the manufacturers PCP deals. Often these have a finance contribution by the manufacturer. For example, often BMW have something like £2000 contribution, if you use their finance company. Last year mercedes had £6000 contribution on a GL class.

    Cheers Paul.

I'm actually looking at is a BMW 118D M Sport. With the spec I want its about £23.5K from BMW but online Brokers can get the same spec for about £20K delivered.

I know BMW do deposit contributions of about £2k but I don't know if that offer would still apply if I'm getting it at a reduced price via Online Broker.

Plus how do I know that BMW's own finance providers are giving me the best deals/terms on the market.

Seems a bit of a mini-monopoly if you get what I mean

I would have thought it should still apply - you are buying a car through a broker after all. Also, it may be worth tackling your own local dealer and see if he will price match (or come close to it) the online price - make it clear you will otherwise buy through the broker.

I've got £4K off a 535d and £4.5K off an x5, using that tactic so they will play ball.

RE: the PCP, its all swings and roundabouts - they'll subsidise their own finance deals, and they also set the residual value, so that will most likely sway payments in their favour. You could try a loan over a longer period - that might work out cheaper...
