USB RAID 1 Box

Im looking for recommendations on a USB external hard drive which has RAID 1 Mirroring facility (continual back-up for 7 years worth of family photos and videos).

Ive tried the Netgear SC101 and didnt really enjoy its high level of technical knowledge required. Right now Im looking for something a little more Plug & Play.

The thecus and qnap boxes come recommended, but with that comes a crazy price.

    how much data?

sounds like an online storge account would be a better fit, means even if the house burns down you can still get the data.

2 separate drives is a better/cheaper solution, get a virus or make a mistake, and raid will take out both copies.
