Since the site was off last week I have had problems with the thanks button. Everytime I want to thank someone I have to refresh the page. Is there something I can do to get it back to normal? I have tried logging in and out and deleting cookies. Thank you.

Have you tried typing Ctrl+F5 to force a reload of the page and all of it's component parts? i.e. not use any cached info. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Thanks for the reply, yes I have tried that too but it only works once and then the same problem is back on the next thread.0

Thank you for that, I have downloaded it and used it but I still have the same problem.0

I have never personally had this thanking problem that many others seem to suffer from, so all I can suggest is that you try using an alternative browser. e.g. if you currently us Internet Explorer try Firefox Opera etc. as this may help finding where the problem lies. If an alternative browser does not work, your ISP may be using a proxy server. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I am still having problems with this, the only way I can check thank yous is to press ctrl+F5 which is a pain. I have had this problem before and it was resloved by doing something to the forum settings but I cannot remember what!
I would be grateful if someone could help me with this.0 -
Have you tried using a different browser? Ctrl + F5 causes the page to be reloaded i.e. not using any locally cached data, so if that works I can't see it being any forum setting. Using another browser would help locate the problem. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

No I have not tried another browser, what I do not understand is that it worked with explorer before. I will try another browser. Thanks again for your help.0

Hello Expresso,
I have now tried a different browser and it has solved the problem. Thank you again for your help, I should have taken your advice before!0
